Our trainer, Tim James, has been involved in the business of PAT Testing for over 30 years, and is considered one of the UK's leading experts in the field. We usually run several courses each year at Croydon, so there is probably one coming up soon. This is a one-day, PAT Testing course, with lots of hands-on practical.

The PAT Testing training course is certificated, and we provide all of the materials and equipment for the course. However, if you have already purchased a PAT tester you are welcome to bring it with with you - we'll show you how to get the best from it. Otherwise we'll give you unbiased information about the best machines to buy!

The course starts right at the beginning - you do not need to be a qualified electrician to be good at PAT testing - all you need is a willingness to learn and a little common sense. We will provide you with all of the information you need to get started, including information on the best equipment to use and loads of valuable hints and tips.

We don't have un-named, inexperienced and unqualified trainers. All of our courses are taught by the same person - Tim James, who has been teaching people to carry out PAT Testing for more than 30 years - you will be learning from a seasoned pro and an expert!

The course covers all the relevant legislation, including the Electricity at Work regulations, but this is not 'death by PowerPoint!' We'll tell you everything you need to know, but not get bogged down in boring details. More importantly, you'll put into practice what you learn during the practical session - testing not just a couple of items but a whole range of different appliances, using a variety of industry standard PAT testing machines.
