Our Central London PAT Testing course is held at the Hilton London Paddington, one of the most convenient training venues in London. The hotel is located directly above Paddington railway and underground station, making it easy to reach from Westminster, Kensington, Hammersmith, Ealing, Camden and across Central and West London. Many delegates also travel from Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey and the wider South East because of the excellent rail and Underground connections.

Our trainer, TIM JAMES, has been working in the field for more than 30 years - you'll be learning from the expert. Moreover, Tim is on the IET committee that recently updated the Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing, so you can be guaranteed to get the latest and most up-to-date information. We hold all of our training courses in top hotels or conference centres, and we always include coffee/tea AND a restaurant lunch in the course fee. We use a system of continual assessment during the day so everyone reaches the required standard, and it is very rare that somebody fails the course (if anyone is struggling we give them extra help in the important areas) and we always run our courses with small groups to ensure that we can answer everyone's queries and clear up any gaps during the day. The course contains a carefully balance MIX of theory and practical to allow you to put into practice what you learn, straight away.

Our PAT Testing Course is led by Tim James - many will say he is the UK's leading expert on PAT Testing - with over 30 years in the industry he imparts his experience and knowledge over the course of the day, so you learn all you need to, to carry out PAT testing in your own workplace, or to offer a PAT Testing service to your customers and colleagues. We don't run 15 different courses, and we don't have a big team of 'instructors.' We specialise purely in teaching people how to carry out PAT Testing, and you'll be learning from an acknowledged expert in the field.

Who Attends Our Central London PAT Testing Course?

Our Central London PAT Testing course attracts a wide range of delegates from across London and the South East. We regularly train electricians, maintenance engineers, facilities managers, landlords, caretakers, health & safety staff and small business owners who need to carry out PAT Testing as part of their work.

Because the venue is located at Paddington, we often have people attend from Westminster, Kensington, Camden, Islington, Brent, Ealing, Hounslow and across Greater London, as well as from Slough, Watford, Reading, Luton and other areas with direct rail links into Paddington.

Some delegates attend because they need to test equipment within their own organisation, while others are looking to start a PAT Testing business or add PAT Testing to their existing electrical or maintenance work. The course is designed to suit complete beginners as well as those with previous experience, and the practical format means everyone leaves with the confidence to carry out PAT Testing safely and correctly.

Because numbers are limited on each course, everyone has plenty of opportunity to ask questions and gain hands-on experience using real PAT testers and a wide range of electrical appliances.

Obviously we would recommend coming by public transport, the hotel is literally on top of Paddington railway and underground stations.

We have a wonderful large air-conditioned training room booked, free tea and coffee are included along with an amazing lunch. This really is an amazing venue, a great place to learn a new skill!

Further Information About The Course

We try to make all of our courses 'fully inclusive' which means we provide all the course materials you need, including a PAT Testing manual, information about record keeping forms and certificates, and we also provide lunch and refreshments during the day. All this is included in the course fee! Please note that we do limit the number of people on each date to ensure that everybody benefits. Courses often fill up so- see the dates listed at the bottom of this page to reserve your space!

You are welcome to bring your own PAT Tester with you on the day, or you can use ours! We always have a selection of industry standard PAT Testers for you to use on the day, and we can give you unbiased advice on which are the best machines to purchase.

If you wish to pay after the course, we can invoice you, subject to status, at the higher price. We would recommend that you travel by public transport if possible. The course begins at 9:45, although tea and coffee is available from 9:15 onwards.
