PAT Testing Training Courses at your workplace!
At PAT Testing Expert we've been teaching people to carry out testing for many years and we can provide a training course for your staff, at your site. Our trainer, Tim James regularly attends sites across the whole of the UK, including schools, offices, factories and warehouses to provide training.
An in-house course is perfect if you have more than 4 people to train - we can train up to 12 people if you have that many staff who want to learn. All we ask of you is a large comfortable room to carry out the training; It needs to be quite large with lots of tables for the practical work. If you don't have a dedicated training room we will be happy to advise you further.

This is the standard programme - it can be amended to suit your requirements if you prefer. We can also tailor the course to your own requirements, systems or test equipment. You also have the benefit of a Portable Appliance Testing Expert to oversee your existing arrangements, record keeping systems etc if required.

All relevant legislation will be covered, as well as an overview of the latest guidance from the Health and Safety Executive and other bodies. The content is based on the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) guidelines and other nationally recognised guidance although participants are reminded that they should follow any rules made their employer especially with regard to frequency of testing, or particular test methods
Meet Your Trainer - Tim James
Tim has been involved in the field of PAT Testing for nearly 25 years, first learning to carry out the task whilst working as a school science technician in the 1980's. He has held many other jobs, including County Technician for Humberside LEA where he was responsible of the PAT Testing across the authorities schools, and also as head of a large commercial PAT Testing company. He regularly writes on the subject of electrical safety, and has been teaching people to carry out the task since 1993. His training is delivered in a no-nonsense, practical and down-to-earth style, keeping the audience interested and entertained at all times.
