11:15 - 12:30	Electrical Appliances - What types of equipment do we have to test? Class 1 and Class 2 appliances. How to carry out a simple examination. Checking plugs, cables and fuses


1:30 - 2:45	Examination, Inspection and Testing. Demonstration and hands-on practical work - testing a variety of different appliances. Important notes of safety. Avoiding damage to equipment under test

We present our popular and exciting PAT Testing Training Course - a one day certificated training course in Portable Appliance Testing, presented by Tim James, widely recognised as the UK's leading expert on PAT Testing. Our London PAT testing course takes place at the glamorous Hilton Kensington, but we also run regular dates at the Hilton in Watford, handy for towns to the north, and at Croydon for those South of the Thames.

Located 2 miles from Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and the Museums, the Hilton London Kensington hotel is set in the leafy district of Holland Park. This spectacular hotel is the venue for our PAT testing training courses from PAT Testing Expert Ltd - UK leaders in PAT Testing.

The Kensington Hilton is easy to access by car from West and North London (just off the Holland Park Roundabout) but it is JUST inside the congestion zone, so you will have to pay the congestion charge if you drive in. Parking is expensive at the hotel (approx £35 per day) so we usually advise parking outside the congestion zone and travelling in on foot or by public transport. There are a few car parks in Shepherd's Bush (about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel) and these are outside the congestion zone. The new Westfield shopping centre is a short walk away - it costs about £16.00 per day to park there for 7 -10 hours - perfect if you want to get some shopping in after the course! Alternatively, if you travel by tube, Holland Park tube (central line) is only about 10 minutes walk away, and there are nearby tube stations in Sheperd's Bush and White City. Further travel details will be sent to you when you make your booking.
